. Trzyba było zawieść Macera i Kent Paula do Snake Farm, a potem do Las Venturas. Podobały ci się wyścigi? Mi tak. Szczególnie samolotami. Wielu ludzi narzeka na trudne sterowanie. Mi ono przypadło do gustu. Bardzo lubię latać, szczególnie hydrą . Kate Bush.. Kate Bush, właśc. Catherine Bush (ur. 30 lipca 1958 w Londynie) – brytyjska piosenkarka, kompozytorka, autorka tekstów piosenek, producentka nagrań.
Utwory Kate Bush słyną z rozbudowanych linii melodycznych i skomplikowanych partii wokalnych. Artystka często szuka inspiracji w utworach literackich czy muzyce etnicznej.

NEW UNDETECTED FIELD, FIRST TIME HERE FOR THE CLUB
This is the club’s first trip out since the Hanney Rally and just today (Thursday) Alan and I checked out a new undetected field. The land is about 60-acres in size and is a field near Black Robins Farm near Crockham Hill. That dig was pretty good for hammered even though the grass had not been ploughed for a few decades. Finds around the 16th century farmhouse and farm pond were all typically from that era but most said it would produce well if ploughed. This weekend’s dig will be on land that has been regularly ploughed and is a large field adjacent to the one just talked about. Maize was the crop but is now harvested with the stalks partly grazed off by cattle which will be off by Sunday This has left a nice flat surface over much of the ground leaving a bare surface and mostly beaten down maize stalks. Digging conditions look very favourable on this untried & tested field.
Look at the OS map below and ringed is our field which is bordered by the railway line. You can see a moat close by and further off lies the course of a Roman Road. This Sunday’s dig here is owned by the same landowner where Richard found his lovely ¼ gold stater in June’s dig between The Moat Farm and Langhurst.
CLUB DIG SIGNS
Our direction signs are now neon pink on a black border with white lettering! They stand out very effectively against autumn foliage as opposed to the neon yellow and black ones that seemed to blend in with a leafy backdrop and were harder to spot. Watch out for our distinctive neon pink slat signs which will have the WW logo on the header board.

NEW CLUB FARM
As I said in the last newsletter, the Weekend Wanderers digs can be anywhere in the S.E of England and we try to vary the location of meetings as much as possible. Only with the Weekend Wanderers will you get such a diverse range of farms in so many new areas. This new farm in Kent is just outside Ulcombe village that features a medieval moat and fishponds. There are uncanny similarities with the historic features to last week's great dig at Somerton. The soil is exactly the same; light and sandy with some stone present and is situated on high ground.
The village of Ulcombe stands on the Greensand Way and .is 7 miles from Maidstone and just 3.5 miles from Leeds Castle. Ulcombe is variously spelt in ancient records but in the Domesday it is written Olecumbe whilst in other records it is known as Wulcombe. The Saxon meaning is though to be 'a deep little wooded valley; a hollow in a hill side,' The church at Ulcombe is on a site that dates back to Norman times, with part of the original structure existing in the present church then you have nearby Leeds Castle dating built during the early part of the 12th century on the site of a Saxon hall.
We have two fields amounting to almost sixty acres of very light well weathered stubble. These two fields that we are searching on Sunday were owned by the Leeds Castle estate and are situated to the N.E of Ulcombe and 3 miles S.E of the renowned Leeds Castle.

This Sunday the 7th June at 09.30 we are near CROCKHAM HILL in KENT
Taking a look at the OS map on the link and you will see the Roman villa at Titsey on the other side of the M25. If you get the chance to drop into Clacket Lane services on the M25 there is a display of Roman finds there that were made during construction work. You will also see the Roman road leading directly from the service station in a S.S.E direction and this road passes through some of our farmers land. The land that we are searching this Sunday is off Dairy Lane to the S.W of Crockham Hill. At the moment there is available 55-acres of silaged pasture therefore the grass is very low and detecting conditions should be just right as long as the ground is not too hard. Thursday’s forecast predicts showers on Saturday and Sunday which may soften the soil somewhat.
The whole area surrounding Crockham Hill has been designated an area of outstanding beauty so it’s an ideal place for scenic photography. You may have seen the absolutely beautiful Moat Farm and pond last Sunday and also enjoyed the lovely rural drive to the dig. I am heading that way again to meet the farmer on Friday so he can show me which of his fields along Dairy Lane we can use. It’s somewhere in the circled area on the maps but not yet sure what side of Dairy Lane he means.
Thanks to all our excellent members last Sunday for doing a flawless job filing in holes! It was a job to see where you had been and I am sure more land will come of it as the farmer is happy and has plenty of referrals for us at a later date. Finds close to the oast house and farm dated mainly Tudor to modern with some nice hammered coin finds. A nice silver Roman was discovered at the other end of the vast field which proved to be quieter away from the buildings. At the end of the day a magnificent and rare gold ¼ stater of the Celtic Cantii tribe came up on this part of the farm. Don’t you just love those quiet fields! Well done to Richard Newcombe for finding his first gold coin!
